The Isaiah 58 ministry was originally founded to support poor Jews in the now-defunct USSR. Here in Cyprus, Isaiah 58 provides support for sufferers of HIV/AIDS, some of whom are Cypriots, some of whom come from other countries. These people tend to be shunned: if in employment they are often dismissed, they cannot obtain jobs, and they have little, if any, financial support.
|There is a clinic at Larnaca which the out-patients among them attend each month. The ministry is run by a remarkable lady who lives at the western end of the island, and who travels to Larnaca each month. St Lazarus supports this work, and our gifts of food, (dry, canned or bottled), or money – collected on the fourth Sunday of each month – are taken to Larnaca by her, where they are extremely important to those in need.|

the poor wanderer with shelter – when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?”
